Brief introduction of the Enterprise
Shanxi Golden Ocean Energy Co., Ltd of China National Coal Group (G-Ocean Group for short hereinafter) was founded on 28th, August, 2009, and its former body was Shanxi Golden Ocean Energy Group. At present, the asset of the company is 8.5 billion yuan; it has 18 subordinate companies, including 8 coal mines and 10 ground enterprises, and the related fields include coal producing, transporting, washing, delivering, power generating, metallurgy, building materials, modern services and so on.

 


Since its founding in 2001, the company has insisted on the principle of “based on coal, combining coal and electricity, circulatory grouping and scientific development”, and with the goal of building a low-carbon circular economic park with characteristics of “industrial coupling, resource utilization, closed cycle, complete usage”, the company has been innovative constantly and developed vigorously. Driven by both coal and non-coal business, synchronously followed by advanced science and management innovation, and with the combination of park development and environmental protection, the company has endeavored to realize the innovation of conventional industries, the diversification of polar industrials, the cleanness of energy transformation and low carbonization of high-carbon industries, and it aims to develop into a giant energy flagship enterprise with solid foundation, obvious advantages, reasonable structure, effective operation, low-carbon and cyclic development mode.

 

 

Coal production, transportation, washing, delivering and marketing have formed a system. In 2010, 1.1 billion yuan was invested to develop coal fully mechanized mining technology for 8 self-owned coal mines to build secure and standard mine shaft in a comprehensive way; in 2007, a belt-shaped coal transportation line with a whole length of 15.5 kilometers and an annual coal transportation ability of 15 million tons was built to realize cleaning, automation and intensification of coal transportation; at present, the company owns two large-scale coal washing factories and two automatically quantitative modern entrucking stations; the company has fixed big customers from domestic and abroad, and a scale of four 10 billion tons in coal production, transportation, washing and delivering has been formed.

 

 

Coal and electricity combined production has rapid development. A 2×50 MW gangue power station was founded with an annual power generation volume of 0.6 billion kilowatts. The 2×300 MW gangue power station under construction is expected to realize double operation in June, 2011, with an annual power generation volume of 3.3 billion kilowatts and a marketing income of 1.1 billion yuan. Meanwhile, the 2×350 MW gangue power station and a 2×1000 MW supercritical power station are planned to be built so that all the gangue in the park could be completely used.

 

 

The wastes have been utilized for multipurpose. Gangue and coal ash of the power plant, as well as ashes, slag and other industrial wastes were used to build a 2×16500 KyA silico-mangan factory, 0.2 billion gangue baked brick production line, and a 1.3 million ton dry-process cement project is under construction, and thus a circulation chain of coal, electricity, metallurgy and construction has developed, and the recycling, beneficiation and environmental protection of the “three wastes” are realized initially. 

 

 

With the expansion of business, and the rapid development of industrial diversification, further requirements are put forward to informatization, and G-Ocean Group has initiated strategic planning for informatization in September, 2010.

 

 

Project practice
In September-October of 2010, under the active promotion of the leaders of G-Ocean Group, GreatWe informatization consulting group carried out extensive interviews to the high level management, functional departments and mine shafts of G-Ocean Group. The consulting group had also made a plan to the informatization construction project of G-Ocean Group, and sorted the core management functions of G-Ocean Group and the coal business component model, which is as follows:
 

In the planning, 31 projects in 5 fields for informatization construction of G-Ocean Group within five years are specified to support business development and strategy achievement. And Project Management Office (PMO) is also under discussion to ensure that the projects could be carried out on schedule. Like the following chart:

 

According to the dependency relationship of the project and the goal of gradual informatization, the overall implementation route of informatization project in the following 5 years is shown as in following chart:

 

At present, based on the overall planning, GreatWe planned to undertake coal supplying and sales management system, QHSE management system phase I, production platform phase one, unified information platform, MDM and other information systems in  informatization construction phase I of G-Ocean Group.
