PDS (Premise Distribution System)
Premise distribution is a modularized information transfer channel of high flexibility inside buildings or among constructions. It can link voice equipment, data equipment, switching device and other control applications with information management system as well as external communication networks. It also includes connection points of external network or telecommunication line or all wires and cables and relevant interconnecting pieces of application system equipment. Premise distribution is made up of components of different series and specifications, including, transmission medium, relevant linking hardware (i.e. distributing frame, connectors, sockets, plugs, adaptors) and electric protection equipment, etc. These components can be used to build various sub-systems, which are of high feasibility and can upgrade steadily in accordance to demands. Premise distribution system should be an open structure supporting telephone and a variety of computer data systems and also available to certain systems as video conferences television and surveillance television. PDS can be divided into six sub-systems: working area subsystem, wiring (horizontal) subsystem, main line (vertical) subsystem, equipment room subsystem, management subsystem and architectural complex subsystem.
